"Painted in the style of Claude Monet, this painting is one of a series of four inspired by the Seasons.
The overhanging blossoms gave me an excuse to work in vibrant colours suggesting the return of Spring after a long hard winter.
It is based on a theme of a couple drifting along in their boat; a motif used by both Monet and Renoir in the 1870's and 1880's."
