"During the summer of 2007 whilst enjoying our holiday we decided to try a small walk along the coast recommended by a few of our friends. It was supposed to be a leisurely few miles from one bay to the next but five hours and twelve miles later we realised that we had taken a wrong turn and joined the 'longer' route. 'My Feet Hurt' started after about five miles and eventually gave way to 'My Feet REALLY Hurt' as well as 'Are We There Yet?' as we resorted to ever more childlike pleas the further we walked. After this incident I just had to paint this piece to show the almost childlike feelings we experienced as we got tired and emotional! "
