Lorenzo Quinn is one of the most successful sculptors of his generation, receiving commissions from many diverse parties, including the Vatican, which asked him to sculpt a likeness of Saint Anthony to commemorate the Eighth Centennial of his birth. Having studied at the American Academy of Fine Arts in New York and many workshops throughout the USA and Europe, Lorenzo made a hugely successful transition from painting to sculpting when he realised using a brush was not fulfilling all of his creative needs. Seeking to craft works unlike any those before him had created, he found sculpting to be the best medium for his vision.
