Compelling and Unique Shazia Art
Shazia is an artist who specialises in creating enchanting portraits of characters she imagines herself; drawing inspiration from her travels across the globe, people-watching, magazines and newspapers, music, books, and her mother's storytelling when she was a young girl. She channels her surroundings and thoroughly contemplates the personalities of her characters before she paints them, but also finds herself gaining entirely new inspiration when she first starts painting and often ends up shaping the portrait entirely differently to how she first intended.
Shazia art aims to convey different emotions and personalities people experience and come into contact with in their daily lives; allowing the viewer to truly invest themselves in and connect with Shazia art. As Shazia originals incorporate both positive and negative themes which can often be subjective to the viewer's personal insights, they are especially versatile pieces that make the ideal addition to any living space.
Character Composition by the Artist Shazia
The 'full stop' gaze of the characters used in Shazia originals makes them all the more tantalising; drawing the viewer in to further inspect precisely which emotions these characters are trying to convey. The fact that the characters themselves are presented quite low down on the canvas adds an air of mystery to Shazia art and invites the viewer to speculate the dimensions of the charming characters, whilst the lack of a mouth presents an ambiguity for each individual viewer to perceive as they wish.
Shazia is an artist who doesn't assign a particularly formulaic way of developing and painting her characters, and chooses - depending on her mood and where her inspiration is coming from - to either start painting and see where this takes her, or revert back to her old sketch books or journals. The music she plays whilst painting also tends to shape the general appearance and mood of the character she is painting.
