Vibrant and Unique Louise Dear Art

Louise Dear was born to artistic parents who encouraged their children to be free-spirited and pursue the multitude of art forms available to them. Louise spent her childhood fondly in the outdoors and travelled to South Africa and the Far East before she was six, when she settled with her family in the Hampshire countryside.

Artist Louise Dear grew up with her mother's and grandfather's artistic talents prominently and proudly displayed around her home, and it was this consistent exposure to beautiful colours, scenes, objects and landscapes which encouraged her to pursue this artistic passion of painting for herself, years after leaving her childhood home.

The Inspiration Behind Artist Louise Dear's Paintings

Louise Dear art has largely drawn inspiration from the many years she and her boyfriend spent travelling abroad to myriad exotic locations, including Spain, France, North Africa, Australia and South East Asia; exposing Louise to many new, vibrant cultures and artistic opportunities which have drastically shaped the Louise Dear prints which are in such high-demand today.

Louise Dear is an artist who embodies her inspiration; viewing life and nature's most simplistic and often unnoticed, vastly understated day-to-day emotions, scenes and senses, and incorporating these into her work. She aims to convey a sense of pure feeling and evoke an emotion of longevity in viewers of her paintings through bold colour and euphoric, enticing and inviting expressions.

Predominantly, Louise Dear art takes inspiration from the 18th century Japanese artists of the ‘floating world', the Art Nouveau period of the 20th century, and the ‘superflat' movement of contemporary Japan. Artists ranging from Jeff Koons to animation extraordinaire Walt Disney continue to provide inspiration for Louise Dear prints to this day.
